Haji Sufi Shaik Noor Ali Shah Warsi-Wo-Banda Nawazi (RA) was a prominent religious personality in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. A Sufi, and saint of Warsi silsila, he was a beam of light for the seekers. Almighty blessed him with the Khilafat in Warsia and Chistia silsila. He was also bestowed with Khilafat by the prominent religious personality Hazrat Haji Sufi Syed Afsar Ali Shah.
Noor Ahmed Warsi Saheb (RA) was a prolific poet, who wrote more than 80 Naat and Mankhabat which are published in a book titled ‘Gunje Waris’, which reflects the immense love he had for the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ( (sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam)), Haji Syed Waris Ali Shah (RA) and his murshid, Haji Syed Altaf Hussain Warsi (RA). He was proficient in many languages such as Urdu, Parsi, Arabic, English, Hindi, Telugu and Sanskrit.
Soft hearted, down to earth he used to listen to the problems of people visiting him with open heart. Few minutes in his company, one could feel peace and cannot resist liking him. People came from all parts of India and abroad to seek his blessings and prayers. Like a true wali, he was serving humanity and helping people in distress irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Hazrath Noor Ali Shah Warsi-Wo-Banda Nawazi (RA) left this material world and got united with the Beloved on the night of 9th December 2014 in the month of Safar, leaving his family, mureeds and well wishers with immense sorrow and grief. He is laid to rest in his asthana in Bonkur village near Kurnool.
His URS is celebrate every year on 14th and 15th of Safar month at his asthana in Bonkur Village near Kurnool.
